Daniel Radcliffe nominated for Drama Desk Award
Earlier today, Drama Desk announced the nominations for the 2014 Drama Desk Awards, and Daniel is nominated for Outstanding Actor in a Play for his role as Billy in The Cripple of Inishmaan. The play is also nominated for Outstanding Revival of a Play.
The Cripple of Inishmaan is a comedy about a disabled man living in rural Ireland who is trying to get a role in a movie filming nearby. This is the second major theater award Daniel has been nominated for for his role in the play this year. Tickets are still available on the show’s official site.
The Drama Desk awards are the only major New York theater awards to consider Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Off-Off-Broadway performances for the same awards. The 59th Annual Drama Desk Awards will be held on June 1. They will be presented by TheaterMania.com at The Town Hall in New York City.
