It’s that sad time again, folks. Another member of the MuggleNet family is heading out into the big, scary Muggle world!
Most of the videos that you have enjoyed over the last three years has been made by our resident editor extraordinaire, Laura Reilly. From podcast promotions and our annual holiday greeting, to large events like the MuggleNet Harry Potter Oscars and the fifth anniversary of the Deathly Hallows book release, Laura has done it all beautifully. I mean, really, who DIDN’T sob like a baby while watching the “In Memoriam” video?
Most readers wouldn’t know this unless they’ve visited our staff page recently, but Laura was single-handedly responsible for bringing MuggleNet into the modern age when she pitched the idea of a complete re-design. She started the project by herself in early 2013 by taking every single page, quote, and image and combining them into a slick, mobile friendly layout. Without her, MuggleNet wouldn’t look like or operate the way it does today, and for that we can’t thank you enough, Laura.
Don’t worry, Alohomora! fans – Laura isn’t going anywhere in terms of the podcast! She will continue to host our global reread while pursuing her Muggle dreams of travel and anthropology, all while attending university and getting a triple degree!
