MuggleNet Throwback: Warner Brothers announces Harry Potter: The Exhibition
It’s hard to believe that it’s already been six years this week since Warner Brothers announced Harry Potter: The Exhibition in 2008. The international traveling exhibition began its wildly successful world tour in April 2009 at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry in the United States. Since then, it has gone on to tour in multiple countries around the world, including the United States, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and Japan.
The Exhibition is known for displaying a wide array of authentic props and sets from the Harry Potter films, Harry’s original wand and eyeglasses notable among them. The 10,000-square-foot display also allows visitors the chance to participate in a little magic of their own by repotting Mandrakes, playing Quidditch, and more!
The Exhibition is currently enjoying a three-and-a-half-month-long stay at the Edmonton’s Telus World of Science in Alberta, Canada. Additionally, the second stop on the Exhibition’s upcoming European tour was recently announced at ODYSSEUM in Cologne, Germany. The European tour kicks off May 29, 2014, at Nya Parken in Norrköping, Sweden.
