Domhnall Gleeson talks about landing a lead role in “Star Wars: Episode VII”
Domhnall Gleeson, who played Bill Weasley in the Potter films, and was this week announced as one of the new cast members for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII, has said that he is “still coming to terms” with landing his biggest role to date.
In an interview with Irish radio show 2FM, the son of fellow Potter alum Brendan Gleeson (Mad-Eye Moody) said,
It all happened really quickly for me. It was like the day before, and then I’m at a table reading with Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill. It was madness, but it was great.
Gleeson was unable to provide any information about the character he will be playing in the film, although some fans are already tipping him to play the son of Luke Skywalker. The actor said,
I’m afraid if I say anything I’ll give away the plot of the whole movie. I’ve got two years of this ahead of me. The movie is released in December 2015 – that’s the amount of time I have to keep my mouth shut!
