James and Oliver Phelps to play in charity match in Birmingham
James and Oliver Phelps, who played the Weasley twins in the Potter films, will take part in a charity soccer match this Sunday, at St. Andrews in Birmingham. The game is in aid of Help Harry Help Others, inspired by the tireless fundraising work of Birmingham schoolboy Harry Moseley.
He died of a brain tumor at age 11 in 2011, after raising more than £600,000 for charity. Last year’s match managed to raise over £120,000, and organizers are hoping to top that sum. Oliver will lead one of the teams. He said,
Last year was a great success, and I’m sure this year will be more so. As a Help Harry Help Others ambassador, I will be very proud to lead out one of the teams.
Yes, it’s a charity match, but we’re all going there to win. We’ll be using Harry’s motto for inspiration: ‘Make it Happen’.
Harry’s mother, Georgie Moseley, said,
We’re really pleased to be hosting this fantastic event with Birmingham City.
For me it’s about uniting families and the community for a fantastic day out.
Tickets are available at £10 per adult and £1 per child and can be purchased here.
