“RoboCop” coming to DVD and Blu-ray!
Did you manage to catch RoboCop in theaters when it was released earlier this year? The action-packed film, starring Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), explores a futuristic world. The film is set for DVD and Blu-ray release in a few weeks’ time. It is summarized by CinemaBlend as follows:
The film starts in 2028, during a time in which the United States is working hard to procure new military weapons to keep the peace. Enter OmniCorp, a company with an idea and plenty of ambition to support that idea. They want to turn a wounded police officer into a part-man, part-robot machine, and when cop Alex Murphy (Kinnamon) falls into the company’s lap after sustaining multiple injuries, Omnicorp’s idea becomes a reality. As you can imagine, half-man, half-robot creation packs a lot of punch, and RoboCop features enough exciting visuals to engage even the least action-oriented fans.
A digital version is due to be available for viewers on May 20, while the DVD and Blu-ray versions follow on June 3.
While the DVD version does not appear to have any extras, the Blu-ray disc will be awash with them, containing over an hour of extra footage:
