J.K. Rowling to receive International Writers Award
Congratulations are in order for Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, who is set to be awarded with the prestigious International Writers Award for her extraordinary contribution to children’s literature.
She will be presented with the award at the International Conference of Jurists and Writers in London on June 23, in the presence of Chief Justices, judges, ministers, editors, and diplomats. It has certainly been a busy time for Rowling lately; last week, the second book from the Cormoran Strike series, The Silkworm, was released under her pseudonym Robert Galbraith, and next month she will make an appearance at the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival.
Are you pleased to see her recognized for her contribution to the world of literature? Let us know your thoughts!
