Snapchat competition launched at SDCC in honor of Jason Isaacs’s “Dig”
This weekend, fans flock to San Diego for America’s – and probably the world’s – most famous convention. The main event started yesterday, and one of the panels that took place was dedicated to upcoming TV series Dig, which stars Harry Potter actor Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy). Creators of the show were in attendance, along with the show’s stars, David Costabile and Alison Sudol. Jason Isaacs also made an appearance… in a way – he checked in via Skype.
It was also announced by USA Network that a scavenger hunt of sorts would take place at the convention, giving fans a chance to get interactive and win something exciting at the end. To promote the show, the Dig symbol has been hidden in over 40 locations within the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego, and using Snapchat, SDCC attendees have been challenged to find said symbols and take pictures of them. The end prize is to win an exclusive meet-and-greet with Tim Kring, the show’s co-creator and executive producer… TODAY! Up to 40 people will have the chance to win this amazing opportunity. To #DIGDeeper, attendees are encouraged to follow the Snapchat account DigOnUSA “to receive a video message and start their adventure.”
Those who are not in attendance are encouraged to follow social influencer Jerome Jarre on Snapchat (username: jeromejarre), where he will be posting behind-the-scenes SDCC coverage of Dig’s stars.
In the show, Isaacs plays FBI agent Peter Connelly, “stationed in Jerusalem, who, while investigating a murder, uncovers a conspiracy 2,000 years in the making.”
