Edible Magic Wands
Natasha Feldman and Julianna Strickland Natasha and Julianna created this recipe themselves, inspired by the wands in Harry Potter and their favorite childhood treat: chocolate-dipped pretzels!
Ingredients
Yogurt Chips
- 1 1/2 cup yogurt chips
- 1 Tbsp. canola oil
- food coloring (as desired)
Chocolate
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. canola oil
Wands
- pretzel sticks
- sprinkles
- colored sugars
Instructions
Yogurt
- Melt yogurt chips in a tall microwave cup for one minute and then stir in canola oil until desired consistency is achieved. Add few drops of liquid or gel food dye and stir to combine.
- Repeat this process for each desired color.
Chocolate
- Microwave chocolate chips in 30-second intervals until melted and then stir in canola oil until desired consistency is achieved.
Assembly
- Cover work surface with parchment or wax paper. Dip pretzel into desired base color and twirl until evenly coated.
- Place dipped wand on paper and decorate with candy, sprinkles, or more yogurt or chocolate.
- Refrigerate wands for 25 minutes before serving to set.
