How did you become a Harry Potter fan?
It took me two tries to read the 1st book (my first time I was in the 3rd grade and I just didn’t want to read!) But I got through it on my 2nd go-around, which would have put me in the 4th grade. I really was swept away by the time we got into the depths into Prisoner of Azkaban. I guess I would have been 10ish at the time. (And yes, I had a very upsetting 11th birthday.) I love how as the books were released, I was always Harry’s age or a year younger.
What Potter fandom memory would you keep in your Pensieve?
I was 17 when the last book came out, and I have a very vivid memory from what may have been one of the scariest moments of my life. I had restricted myself to one chapter a day from the last book, so most everyone finished it before me. I was waiting in line for something and this jerk a few people in front of me was in a mood I guess, and he was threatening to give away the ending of the last book! The people he was talking to pretended as if they didn’t care, and I was a few feet away, plugging my ears like a weirdo. It was a long line, so I didn’t want to leave. In the end, I had to get out of the line.
What do you think you might see if given the chance to look into the Mirror of Erised?
A hot date that I can take to Harry Potter World, decked to the nines in our Wizarding wear.
