“Potter” alumni feature heavily in BFI London Film Festival 2014 selections
The full line-up for the 2014 BFI London Film Festival was announced today. Among the films that will be played at the festival are Mr. Turner, which stars Timothy Spall (Peter Pettigrew) as the eccentric British painter J.M.W. Turner; My Old Lady, which stars Dame Maggie Smith (Minerva McGonagall); Men, Women and Children, starring Emma Thompson (Sybil Trelawney), and Alan Rickman‘s (Severus Snape) second directorial feature film, A Little Chaos, which also stars Helen McCrory (Narcissa Malfoy).
Rhys Ifans (Xenophilius Lovegood) will be starring in two films set to be shown at this year’s festival: Madame Bovary and Serena, alongside Toby Jones (Dobby). 10,000 KM, which stars Natalia Tena (Nymphadora Tonks) will also be played. Song of the Sea, starring Brendan Gleeson (Alastor Moody), will be shown as part of the animated feature strand, and finally, Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy) is part of the cast for the closing night film, Fury.
