Daniel Radcliffe on “Lorraine”, talks auditions, “Potter”, living in the UK
Daniel Radcliffe has certainly been busy this week promoting Horns. A clip of Daniel promoting the film on the UK early weekday morning show Lorraine, with host Lorraine Kelly, has appeared online.
In the interview, Daniel spoke about living in the UK, auditioning post-Potter, and not begrudging Harry Potter.
On living in the UK, Daniel said:
I think people over here have a tendency…, you know, if you get cocky they tell you, and they’re not going to allow you to get too big for your boots. I definitely think I would have possibly turned out very different – all of us might have – if we’d been doing it in America.
Further, he said,
You only achieve longevity through variety and through showing that you can do lots of different things…
When you’re young and in your 20s you’re castable as a certain thing, but you ain’t going to be playing that kind of character when you’re in your 50s, and if you are, you’re probably not going to be working – so you have to find as many things you’re good at as possible.
Finally, on Potter he said,
If it [were] preventing me from getting other work I might be resentful of it, but because I’ve always been able to have a career outside of it… I still love those movies.
