Daniel Radcliffe voices his excitement for “Fantastic Beasts”, support for HeForShe campaign
While he may not be involved with the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them trilogy, Daniel Radcliffe is just as excited for the new film series as the rest of us! As reported by Digital Spy, Radcliffe is looking forward to the series, especially since he doesn’t know what’s coming:
It’ll be slightly bizarre, but it’ll be great. I’m excited to see what they do with them, and I also have no idea what they’re doing with them, which is exciting.
Radcliffe also explained that he continues to be fascinated by the popularity of the Harry Potter series:
It’s amazing because we’re three years removed from the last film coming out, and it’s not that I would have expected it to die down by now, but… every time I go to a premiere, there'[re] Gryffindor ties and Ravenclaw badges and stuff.
There’s still such a hunger for it, so I think it’s kind of wonderful they’re continuing to expand the world.
He went on to add that he would be looking forward to the fact that he would be “able to sit back and watch and enjoy [Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them] with everyone else” since the events of the first installment take place 70 years prior to the events of the Harry Potter series.
Daniel was also asked about his thoughts on Harry Potter co-star Emma Watson‘s work with the United Nations, particularly regarding the gender equality campaign HeForShe. Of Watson’s humanitarian efforts, he said,
It’s great; she’s always been incredibly bright, so it’s no surprise that she’s now channelling that in areas aside from acting. We’re not in much contact, but I’m very pleased.
