Potter DIY: “Harry Potter”-Themed Sock Board
So you’ve just done the laundry and are folding through the never-ending pile of mixed up clothing when all of sudden, you notice it– you’ve got a sock that doesn’t have a match! (It’s either the gnomes or those pesky cornish pixies, I tell ya!) Well, that lonesome little sock is going to need a place to hang out for a while, and Colleen from Coll Writes has created the perfect place for them. Colleen had seen a “Free Dobby” sockboard image pinned to Pinterest and decided one rainy weekend to try and re-create it, and is sharing the results with us!
What You’ll Need:
- Wood board
- Paint/paint brushes
- Clothespins
- Gorilla glue
- Big, clear labels (optional)
- “Harry Potter” font (google)
- The Hogwarts crest (google)
- Mod Podge (optional)
Directions:
Step 1: Paint the board and the clothespins the colors of your choice.
Step 2: Print out the text, Hogwarts crest, and whatever else you want. Stick them on once the paint is dry.
Step 3: Decorate anything else you want to on there.
Step 4 (Optional): Apply a coat of mod podge. Be careful; it caused part of Colleen’s letters to start to peel.
Step 5: Glue the clothespins on.
Step 6: Hang up and enjoy!
