Rumor: Daniel Radcliffe to join cast of “Now You See Me 2”
It appears as though Daniel Radcliffe will soon be returning to his magical roots to co-star in Now You See Me 2, the sequel to last year’s box office success about a group of illusionists. The word came from Now You See Me actor Michael Caine, who revealed in an interview with HeyUGuys that Dan will be playing his son.
There’s a sequel to Now You See Me, and we’re shooting in London. I shoot in December, the whole of December in London, and my son is Harry Potter. I thought it’d be funny, me and Daniel Radcliffe as father and son.
The first Now You See Me film told the story of a team of skilled illusionists who performed bank heists during their live shows. The movie was a surprise success and made $350 million worldwide.
Along with Caine, actors Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, and Dave Franco are all slated to return to their roles in the sequel. The film will be directed by Jon M. Chu. It is set for release on June 10, 2016, in the US, and June 24, 2016, in the UK.
