Rupert Grint’s “It’s Only a Play” breaks box office records!
It’s Only a Play, featuring Rupert Grint, officially opened on Broadway on October 9. It is Rupert’s first Broadway appearance, and earlier today, we posted some advice from Daniel Radcliffe, who has performed on Broadway several times already.
Some fantastic news was announced today for the play. After only a couple of weeks of being open, it was revealed that for the week ending October 20, the play had
grossed $1,375,481 in the 1,083-seat theatre, the highest for any eight-show week at the Schoenfeld.
Previously,
A Steady Rain, starring Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig, held the house record ($1,292,210), set in December 2009.
It’s Only a Play will be open until January 4, 2015.
It’s certainly an impressive achievement – congratulations to all the cast!
Have you seen the play, yet, or are you planning on seeing it soon? What did you think of Rupert’s performance?
