Warwick Davis becomes patron of theater company
It has recently been announced that Warwick Davis has become an honorary patron of the Lavender Hill Mob Theatre Company (LHMTC ) in King’s Lynn. He first became acquainted with the company back in 2009 during a stint at the Princess Theatre in Hunstanton while starring in Robin Hood. Since then he’s been proud to team up with them, his work with them including taking part in one of their workshop evenings.
About the company, Warwick said,
Performing live on stage can be very liberating. The Lavender Hill Mob Theatre Company gives people who don’t usually have the opportunity to perform that unique confidence boosting feeling.
He continued his praise by saying,
I’m very proud to be a patron of the Lavender Hill Mob Theatre Company and support their work with disabled people in the theatre and performing arts. I look forward to visiting them and seeing future performances.
Davis was asked to be a patron by the company’s artistic director Les Miles and musical director Tim Rock. About the Harry Potter actor becoming a patron to LHMTC, Miles said,
We were absolutely thrilled when he agreed. He is a very busy man, but he took some time out of his schedule to send us a personal message.
Davis now joins other fellow patrons: actor Adam Rayner, local artist Roger Dean, and radio personality Archie Andrews.
Congratulations, Warwick!!
