Video: Emma Thompson’s Screenwriters Lecture now online!
Back in September, we posted about the BAFTA Screenwriters Lecture that Emma Thompson gave about her writing process. The lecture was given as part of a BAFTA and BFI Screenwriters Lecture program, which ran in London. Previously, we were only able to bring you quotes from the night, but now BAFTA has posted the full lecture online!
The video includes an introduction from Jeremy Brook, the curator of the series, and Emma talks about her writing process, inspirations, successes, and more.
We know and love Emma as Professor Trelawney in the Harry Potter series, as well as countless other roles, but she is also a writer, and her screenwriting credits include the 1995 award-winning adaptation of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility.
The lecture is inspiring and entertaining to watch, whether you’re an aspiring writer – or just a fan!
