Jim Broadbent donates signed movie posters for charity auction
Jim Broadbent (Horace Slughorn) is lending his support to a local family charity near his hometown. The charity, Home-Start East Lindsey, will be hosting their Auction of Promises event in hopes to raise funds and awareness for their work supporting families in need.
Broadbent has donated two signed movie posters from his film Le Week-End, one of which also comes with a DVD copy of the movie.
In total there are 54 items up for auction, donated by local people and supporters of the charity. The items include paintings, guitar lessons, babysitting sessions, and family tickets for a show at the Broadbent Theatre, which was named for Jim Broadbent’s father.
The event takes place January 31 at noon at the Heneage Arms Community Pub in Hainton, Lincolnshire.
Home-Start East Lindsey provides support to families who are struggling with post-natal illness, children’s illnesses, disability, bereavement, or community isolation. It aids over 110 families each year through volunteer home-visiting, family groups, and other activities. Learn more at their website.
