“Harry Potter: Magical Places from the Films” to Be Released This May
Harry Potter: The Creature Vault was released last autumn by HarperCollins, and at the time, we also learned about another upcoming book inspired by the Harry Potter film series. The book was then called Harry Potter: The Book of Magical Places.
Now, the book has a new title and a release date. It will be called Harry Potter: Magical Places from the Films: Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, and Beyond.
A comprehensive and delightful look at Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, [t]he Burrow, Azkaban [P]rison and all of the memorable places, both loved and feared, that brought the Harry Potter movies to life—a keepsake treasury bound in a debossed leatherette case and featuring a removable poster and interactive booklet.
Harry Potter: Magical Places from the Films: Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, and Beyond takes readers on a behind-the-scenes visual journey through all eight of the Harry Potter films. Jody Revenson provides detailed profiles of each location and pairs them with never-before-seen concept art, behind-the-scenes photographs, and film stills with supplementary information that reveals filmmaking secrets from the Warner Bros. archives.
Plus, there will be two exclusive inserts in the book: a map of Diagon Alley and a “Paintings of Hogwarts” catalog. With so much included within this book, it sounds – and looks – like a must-have for any Harry Potter fan and the perfect addition to your Potter collection.
The book will be released on May 12 and is available to preorder now from Amazon. The recommended retail price for the book is $45.
