Oliver and James Phelps and Evanna Lynch discuss Emma Watson’s latest role
Universal Orlando’s Celebration of Harry Potter has been taking place this weekend at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and we’ve been learning plenty of fun facts and stories from the members of the cast who are gathered there. Of course, when the cast members get together, it’s no surprise that they turn to discussing other former colleagues and what they’re all up to.
In a panel with James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley) and Evanna Lynch, the group began talking about Emma Watson’s (Hermione Granger) latest role as Belle in the upcoming Disney live-action Beauty and the Beast.
First of all the group discussed Emma’s singing ability, Evanna saying,
I imagine she’s good. […] Emma works so hard. Even if she’s not naturally a good singer, she will make herself great at it. She’s very conscientious.
Then, their attention turned to whom Emma’s co-star may be, and thoughts fell immediately to another fellow Potter star. Evanna said,
People keep tweeting me like, ‘Tom Felton for the Beast!’
Well, I’m sure plenty of people would agree!
Catch up with MuggleNet’s live tweeting of the event here, and don’t forget to look out for recap posts from the event coming soon.
Do you think Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) would make a good Beast? Whom would you cast in the role? Let us know in the comments!
