TEA Summit to discuss success of Universal Orlando Diagon Alley expansion
In November of last year, it was announced that the new Universal Orlando Diagon Alley expansion of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter had been awarded three prizes by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA). These awards included one specially created for the park, the Paragon Award. The award
recognizes the entire land, integrated retail and food and beverage, and the Hogwarts Express, in addition to the wand technology.
The award is due to be given out on March 21 at the annual Thea Awards Gala, which will be held at the Disneyland Resort in California. The award will be picked up by Mark Woodbury, the President of Universal Creative, and Thierry Coup, the Senior VP of Creative Studio.
Prior to the event, the two-day TEA summit will take place on March 19 and 20. March 20 will be
dedicated to Thea Case Studies. A panel of six Universal Creative team members, moderated by Coup, will discuss the making of the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley attractions, as part of the Thea Case Studies program.
