Matt Lewis talks “Harry Potter” and “Bluestone 42” on “Sunday Brunch”
Matt Lewis today appeared on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch to discuss the upcoming third season of Bluestone 42 and have a chat about his time starring in Harry Potter.
After being shown a brief clip of himself in Sorcerer’s Stone, Matt joked that he finds old clips of himself unbearable to watch since he was only 11 years old at the time! Given his age, Matt began the films with his mother chaperoning him on the sets, who ended up becoming such good friends with the hotel staff where they lived during the filming of Harry Potter that she was invited to all of their Christmas parties. We also heard that the oft-mentioned “shrine” at his parents’ home, honoring his acting work, is no more; Matt joked that this was because he was “dead to them” now that he no longer lived in their house!
Matt’s presence on the show was due to the launch of the third season of Bluestone 42, which will be broadcasted on BBC Three at 10 p.m. GMT tomorrow (Monday, March 9). Matt, who joined the cast in Season 2, shared that they have a group of eight bomb disposal soldiers working on the show and that many of the pranks featured in the series were inspired by their stories. Matt expressed how brave the bomb disposal soldiers are and said that he has attended some Help for Heroes events in order to meet the soldiers he represents.
Staying on the charitable note, Matt will be taking part in the Spectrum Kilimanjaro Challenge 2015 for the Steve Prescott Foundation. The climb will take place this October, with each participant aiming to raise £4,000 to benefit several charities that are supported by the Steve Prescott Foundation.
