Quidditch Regional Championships come to an end in South, West, and Southwest
It’s been an exciting month in the world of Quidditch! USQ reported that on February 16, Los Angeles Gambits triumphed over Lost Boys US Quidditch Club after two days of play in the last game of the West Regional Championship. With a final score of 160-100, they became the eleventh West Quidditch team to qualify for the USQ World Cup 8 taking place at Rock Hill, South Carolina, between April 11-12.
Over in the Southwest, 22 teams competed in the Southwest Regional Championship, and a total of 17 teams qualified. Lone Star Quidditch Club became the final qualifier after they defeated Baylor University with a final score of 170-100 and will join the other qualifiers at the USQ World Cup 8.
Additionally, the South Regional Championship has come to an end with Florida’s Finest becoming the eighth and last team to qualify. They defeated College of Charleston Quidditch with a score of 190-150 after a two-day match in Palm Coast.
MuggleNet sends their congratulations to all teams who have qualified so far and will join the 80 final teams who will compete in the USQ World Cup 8, which takes place at Rock Hill, South Carolina, April 11-12.
