How did you become a Harry Potter fan?
As I grew up, Harry Potter has always been a part of my childhood. However, when I was younger, my brother was definitely a bigger fan of Harry Potter than I was. Then the HBP movie came out, and for some reason or other I became obsessed with the world of Harry Potter. Unfortunately, I didn’t even start to read the books until 7th grade, but since then Harry Potter has been a huge part of my life, and I feel I have completely made up for the lost time I could have spent with Harry.
What Potter fandom memory would you keep in your Pensieve?
The memory I would keep in my [P]ensieve would be when I won a radio contest after spending an arduous amount of hours submitting entries that let me see Harry Potter and the [D]eathly [H]allows [- P]art 2 on July 11[…] instead of July 15[…], four days before it was released to the public.
If you could have one prop from the set of the films, which would it be?
One prop I would love to have would be the Half[-]Blood Prince’s book. To be able to see all the changes Snape had made to the original copy and to see all the extra information and spells he squeezed into the margins would be amazing to read.
Describe what being part of the Harry Potter fandom has meant to you in seven words or less.
To be a part of something genuine.
