“Godric’s Hollow” TV Series in Development for BBC Two
Exclusive information has come to light that a new TV series to be set in the wizarding village of Godric’s Hollow will begin production soon for BBC Two. The plan for the series is a set number of four seasons with ten episodes each, involving a time jump between seasons.
The series will start with Season 1, chronicling the lives of the Peverells, otherwise known as the three brothers of Deathly Hallows infamy. Once their story has ended (and should the ratings allow for renewal), Season 2 will unveil the story of young Albus Dumbledore himself and his “friendship” with Gellert Grindelwald. Season 3 will explore the year that young newlyweds James and Lily Potter raised baby Harry until the penultimate night of their deaths (and Harry’s mysterious survival). For the final season, an older Harry and his wife Ginny will be shown raising their own children – James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna.
What could this mean for the future of Harry Potter? In a few years’ time, could we be seeing Daniel Radcliffe and Bonnie Wright reprise their roles as older versions of Harry and Ginny? Who would be your potential dream cast for each season? Make your speculations in the comments below!
