Matt Lewis cast in “Me Before You”
Attention all Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) fans – the actor has just landed himself a new role in Me Before You, the upcoming adaptation of Jojo Moyes’s 2012 novel of the same name. The announcement of his casting comes alongside a slew of other names, including Brendan Coyle (Downton Abbey), Samantha Spiro (From Hell), Vanessa Kirby (Jupiter Ascending), and Ben Lloyd-Hughes (Divergent).
The film tells the story of Will, a man left wheelchair-bound after an accident who feels his life has no purpose, until he meets Lou, a girl caught in a rut of dead-end jobs. He hires her as his caretaker, and she sets out to prove to him that life is still worth living. Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games series) and Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) have already been cast as Will and Lou, respectively.
Me Without You is being produced by MGM and New Line and will be directed by Thea Sharrock. The script adaptation comes from the duo behind The Fault in Our Stars, Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, working alongside Moyes. There are no details yet on whom Lewis will play, but we will keep you informed, of course!
