Today, it was announced that the film would open this year’s Galway Film Fleadh in Ireland. The premiere of the film will open this year’s festival, which will take place July 7-12. The Galway Film Fleadh is Ireland’s No. 1 film festival and will be celebrating its 27th year. The premiere for the film will take place on July 7 at 7:30 p.m. BST, with cast and crew members in attendance.
Evanna stars alongside George Webster, and the film has been directed by Simon Fitzmaurice. On this honor, Simon said,
I’m deeply honoured that [t]he Galway Film Fleadh has invited My Name is Emily to open the festival. Everyone involved with the making of this film has worked so hard, and I cannot think of a better reward and a better place for our film’s world premiere.
