Social Roundup: Game of Thrones meets Harry Potter, Modesty auditions, and Wimbledon finals
What a week! Casting calls for the first publicly advertised Fantastic Beasts role, Daniel Radcliffe doing his thing at Comic-Con, and Wimbledon finals. It’s time for the latest edition of Social Roundup.
Dan was of course on hand at San Diego’s Comic-Con to promote his upcoming film, Victor Frankenstein, alongside co-star James McAvoy.
This meant that there was the standard release of on-set photos…
… and the not-so-standard debauchery of intimate scene reenactments.

Plus there was the obligatory “how-fast-can-you-break-Twitter” type of selfie.

It’s just a shame that John Hurt… excuse us, Sir John Hurt, did not snag his own picture with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Surely that would have given Maisie Williams a run for her money.
Congratulations to everyone who received an honour today and huge thanks to all at Windsor Castle! pic.twitter.com/mAyuQnUAsK

Not to be outdone, the world of sports also saw one of its most publicly anticipated annual events – the Wimbledon finals! Which Jason Isaacs was more than happy to attend…
Literally nowhere on the planet I'd rather be. Maybe inside Federer's body. No, wait… that came out wrong #wimble… pic.twitter.com/lK0PmmSQ1y

… encourage others to tune in…
Anyone who's not watching Wimbledon…don't be stupid. Drop the baby, pull the car over, leave him at the altar…this is as good as it gets

… and snag a photo or two with the VIP guests.

For musician Alison Sudol, however, there would be no more open calls as she landed the gig!

While we’re on the topic of Fantastic Beasts, Jo would like the record to reflect that when it comes to the composition of the wands of the protagonists, she knows what she’s doing.
Of course! What do you think I am, some kind of amateur? https://t.co/uWmRMeI6UL

In addition to hinting that the American wizarding school will be explored.
Newt's a Hufflepuff, but the other heroes went to the American school of wizardry (and yes, I know their houses). https://t.co/2mnVEo0LHo
