UPDATED: Rehearsals for “Fantastic Beasts” Underway!

With all of the news about Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them lately, we at MuggleNet have been keeping a watchful eye on social media. We originally posted about the rumor that Fantastic Beasts is set to begin filming on Monday, and while Warner Bros. “can neither confirm nor deny” it, it appears to be true!

Two actors, Alex Gibbons and Andrew Zographos, have tweeted about rehearsals for the film:

This is supported by a Twitter response from Dan Fogler (who will be playing the role of Jacob) to a fan:

Another tweet from Fogler suggests that Ezra Miller has, indeed, been cast in the film, though there has been no official confirmation from Warner Bros. yet:

Additionally, the application criteria for the open casting call for the role of Modesty (now cast) specified a timeline for filming:

All applicants must be available for the shooting dates […] August 2015 – January 2016.

With information on the film being so sparse, it’s unlikely that we will get a glimpse of anything soon, but it’s exciting to know that filming is about to get underway!
