Robert Pattinson to be Honored at Film Festival
Harry Potter alumnus Robert Pattinson (Cedric Diggory) is set to be honored at next month’s Deauville Film Festival in Normandy, France. The actor will be receiving the Hollywood Rising Star Award at the 41st edition of the film festival alongside American actress Elizabeth Olsen.
Pattinson’s upcoming film Life directed by Anton Corbin, will have an evening premiere as part of the program. In the film, Pattinson plays LIFE magazine photographer Dennis Stock, who was assigned to shoot pictures of legendary actor James Dean during a road trip in 1955. Meanwhile, fellow Potter alumnus Rhys Ifans (Xenophilius Lovegood) and upcoming Fantastic Beasts star Ezra Miller‘s latest film, Madame Bovary, will also be featured as part of the festival’s competition line-up. Check out the trailer:
Other Deauville honorees will include Terrence Malick, Michael Bay, Orlando Bloom, Keanu Reeves, and Emma Watson’s latest co-star from Beauty and the Beast, Sir Ian McKellen. The film festival will commence Sept. 4 and run until Sept. 12.
