Countdown to CONjuration!

It’s just under two months until CONjuration, the amazing fan-led convention happening in Atlanta, Georgia. If you haven’t checked out their site and mission statement yet, it’s pretty great:

Our goal is to bring a stable, NON-corporate, FAN[-]DIRECTED convention to the Atlanta area, and we are passionate about conjuring up something special and intimate for fans of Harry Potter, L[ot]R, [The] Hobbit, Supernatural & other magical literature & movies and experiences.

So that sounds awesome already. But what’s even more exciting is that CONjuration is offering a TON of Harry Potter-specific activities, from a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Horcrux game to wizard rock concerts to the convention’s very own Yule Ball. These Potter-tastic offerings are paired with your favorite convention activities, including a cosplay contest and Geek Yoga (okay, maybe this second one isn’t a convention favorite yet… but we bet it will be after you’ve tried a class!), AND with fun celebrations of other awesome fandoms, including a Buffy Horror Picture Show, Supernatural mystery party, panels with fantasy authors, and more!

In recent years, Con-going has almost become an Olympic sport, and while each year the conventions get flashier and more jam-packed with activities, we often miss out on what brought us all to Harry in the first place – seven really good books and a bunch of really good friends. CONjuration is a celebration of just those facets of fandom. MuggleNet will be there, and we hope to see you there, too!
