Daniel Radcliffe Says “Harry Potter” Will Never Leave Him
Daniel Radcliffe, in a new interview for the Big Issue, has revealed that he is still living in the shadow of Harry Potter. It has now been over four years since the release of the last film in the series, Deathly Hallows – Part 2, but the actor is still receiving widespread attention for his role as the boy wizard. Radcliffe admitted,
It is not an active part of my life anymore, but it is so funny how often it comes up. I was walking down the street yesterday, eavesdropping for about five minutes as a six-year-old kid pestered his mum about when he could watch ‘Harry Potter’. She said it was too scary.
Meanwhile, on a recent flight back to the UK from America, he was seated near a girl who was reading one of the novels, with Radcliffe noticing that it was a well-loved book with a broken spine and the pages all ruffled.
If you created that world, it would be fun to be able to play in it and reimagine it. There is such a yearning to go back into that world. It is great Jo is doing the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ film. It is a testament to how successful our films were at mattering in people’s lives.
In other Radcliffe news, the first image of the actor from his upcoming film Imperium has been released. Radcliffe will star as Nate Foster, an undercover FBI agent and analyst who infiltrates a group of neo-Nazis trying to construct a dirty bomb. Production is set to begin this week in Richmond, Virginia. Check out the photo below.
