James Sirius Potter Heads to Hogwarts
We can always rely on J.K. Rowling to provide exciting and fascinating further glimpses into the Potter world on Twitter. Today, September 1, she didn’t let us down. While fans across the world are celebrating going back to Hogwarts today as the Hogwarts Express leaves Platform 9 3/4, Jo confirmed something that fans have been wondering for a while.
Of course, thanks to the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, we all know that Albus Severus’s first day at Hogwarts will be in 2017. But we haven’t known when James, his older brother, starts. Well, Jo confirmed that today will be James’s first day at Hogwarts!
I’m in Edinburgh, so could somebody at King’s Cross wish James S Potter good luck for me? He’s starting at Hogwarts today. #BackToHogwarts

Jo followed the tweet by asking that no one bother him too much…
Thanks! Say 'hi' back, but only if it won't interrupt any burgeoning friendships. https://t.co/Al54tGHvWK

That means that James is two years older than Albus, and when Albus starts, he will be in his third year at Hogwarts.
Good luck at Hogwarts, James!
