US Rights Picked Up for Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe Thrillers
Emma Watson’s newest film, Colonia, about the Pinochet coup in Chile in 1973, received acclaim when it premiered in Toronto this year. Now, the distribution rights to the film have been picked up by Screen Media Films.
In the film, Emma Watson plays Lena, a young German woman who sneaks into a cult to rescue her husband. The film is based on true events.
The rights for the film were also purchased for use in France, Italy, Scandinavia, South Korea, and Latin America.
In addition, Daniel Radcliffe’s upcoming spy thriller, Imperium, has also been purchased, this time by Universal Pictures Intl.
Dan plays an FBI agent who infiltrates a white supremacist group to deter a terrorist plot.
Hopefully, release dates for these two films will be announced soon!
