New Trailer, Teaser Poster Released for Emma Watson’s “Colonia”
A new trailer and teaser poster have been released for one of Emma Watson‘s latest films, Colonia, which tells the story of a young woman named Lena who becomes drawn into Colonia Dignidad, a Chilean ex-Nazi cult, as she searches for her abducted boyfriend.
The first US trailer for the film, which premiered exclusively today on Yahoo! Movies, shows Watson in the role of Lena as she becomes caught up in the activities of the cult. Yahoo! Movies writes,
Based loosely on true events, the film takes place just after the violent 1973 military coup that put General Augusto Pinochet into power in Chile. A real-life settlement, Colonia Dignidad was an ominous, pseudo-religious community that was later revealed to have Nazi ties, to employ torture, and to engage in an array of other criminal activities, including child abuse.
