New Fan Film “Severus Snape and the Marauders” from the Creators of “The Greater Good”
You may remember the enormously successful fan-made film from 2013, The Greater Good, which depicted the duel between Dumbledore and Grindelwald that resulted in the tragic death of Dumbledore’s sister, Ariana.
After receiving lots of feedback and support from fans, writer and director Justin Zagri embarked on a new project, Severus Snape and the Marauders, nearly two years ago. Now, the film is completed and available for our viewing pleasure!
Set in 1978, Severus Snape, James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew and Lily Evans have just graduated from Hogwarts School. As James and his friends, known only to each other as [t]he Marauders, drink at a bar, Snape enters as well, hoping to find Lily. Knowing their dark future, and the part Snape might play in the First Wizarding War, James decides to do something about his long-time rival once and for all.

With a run time of 25 minutes, Severus Snape and the Marauders is a wonderful depiction of the friendship between the Marauders, the rivalry between Snape and James, and the sense of fear and uncertainty during Voldemort’s rise to power. It will surely delight Potter fans as much as The Greater Good did.
