Can You Guess Which House David Tennant Sorted Himself Into?
Looks like David Tennant doesn’t need the Sorting Hat to tell him which Hogwarts House would be the best fit for him. During the Wizard World Comic Con in St. Louis, Missouri, where Tennant appeared with his Doctor Who co-star Billie Piper, a fan asked the former Potter cast member which House he’d be sorted into. Tennant answered without hesitation,
Well, I am Slytherin. I’m not changing,
Well, there you go. It makes sense for Tennant, who played the role of fanatical Death Eater Bart Crouch, Jr. in the fourth installment of the Harry Potter film series, to belong in Slytherin. However, the actor went on to talk about the Sorting system and some of its undeniable flaws.
I’ve always found that a bit odd. You turn up, think you’re an easy going, happy-go-lucky kid and then on the first day they go, ‘No, you’re a baddie; you’re in Slytherin!
While the Sorting system is not considered an inherently harmful practice, it does fall in the gray area of the moral compass for many fans. David Tennant agrees,
As a child psychologist, I don’t think it’s great. People develop at different stages. I think you should be allowed to get through puberty before you’re condemned to a life on the dark side.
