Daniel Radcliffe Is Terrible at Magic in “Now You See Me 2”

We’ve reported earlier that the sequel to the famous heist thriller Now You See Me will star none other than Daniel Radcliffe. Entertainment Weekly tells us that Dan will be playing the role of mysterious tech-mogul Walter, who is also the antagonist of the film. Contrary to his career-defining role as Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe in Now You See Me 2 will be portraying the quintessential “anti-magician.”

As Jon M. Chu, director of the film, articulates to Entertainment Weekly,

[Walter] maybe used to love magic, but he’s horrible at it […], so he’s turned to science. Science is the real magic to him. He basically takes these Horsemen [Eisenberg, Harrelson, Franco, and Caplan] on a ride. He now owns the Horsemen in a way that they have to escape his magic trick.

The film’s returning cast, featuring Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, and Dave Franco, will be joined by Lizzy Caplan in the sequel. You can watch the first trailer here and the second one below!
