Location Finalists for US Quidditch Cup 10 Announced

So soon after the excitement of US Quidditch Cup 9 (USQC), the planning process for the next one is already underway. US Quidditch has announced the three finalists for the location of USQC 10:

The annual tournament has been held in various cities across South Carolina for the past three seasons, so it will be interesting to see three different options for the tournament. These finalists were narrowed down from a large pool of bids, and site visits will be held over the next month to determine the final location, which will be announced along with the date in July.

I’m excited to announce the finalists for our tenth national championship. We’ve had a relationship with all three finalist cities for some time now, and I look forward to meeting with them again at the site visits later this summer.

Sarah Woolsey, Interim Executive Director and Events Director for USQ, states,

[In addition to] the finalists for USQC, we also know the finalists for the regional championships. These championships determine which teams from each region will qualify to participate in the tournament in April.

    • Jacksonville, North Carolina
  • Midwest Regional Championship

  • Northeast Regional Championship

Spring Regional Championships

  • Northwest Regional Championship
    • Kennewick, Washington
  • South Regional Championship
    • Columbia, South Carolina
    • Kissimmee, Florida
  • Southwest Regional Championship
    • Bryan College Station, Texas
    • Wichita Falls, Texas
  • West Regional Championship

Although it is a little less than a year away, planning for USQC 10 is well underway, and those who are involved in the process are already working hard to make the tournament as magical as possible.
