USQ Announces 2015-2016 Membership Awards

Each year, US Quidditch (USQ), gives out both team and event awards to its members. On August 12, USQ announced the winners for the 2015-2016 season. There are five team awards, which are listed along with the recipients below:

  • USQ Sportsmanship Award for a commendable demonstration of fair play, generosity, and integrity: Rutgers University Quidditch

  • Xander Manshel Award for furthering the USQ mission of creativity, community, and competition: Community High School of Arts & Academics

  • First Year Survival Award for the most impressive accomplishments in a year one membership team: Rochester United

  • #SWAG Award for the most powerful visual and physical presence: Kansas Quidditch

  • Brand Excellence Award for the team with the strongest sense of brand: Lone Star Quidditch Club

On top of the team awards, there was also one event award, the Competition Award, given for the most successful Quidditch tournament run by a team or group of teams. The recipient of this award was the Bat City Showcase hosted by Lone Star Quidditch Club.
