“Cursed Child” Reaches Final Round of Goodreads Choice Awards
We reported earlier this month that Harry Potter and the Cursed Child had been nominated for the 2016 Goodreads Choice Awards in the Best Fantasy Category. Following a competitive semi-final, we are pleased to tell you that the script has made it to the final round!
While the Cursed Child script has gone on to sell millions of copies since its release in July, opinions have been divided to say the least; therefore, voting is especially important at this stage of the competition. Those joining J.K. Rowling and Jack Thorne in the final round include Amy Harmon with her novel The Bird and the Sword, V.E Schwab’s A Gathering of Shadows, and Charlie Jane Anders with All the Birds in the Sky.
Voting remains open until November 27, and the good news is that it’s completely free and super easy to do – all you need is a Goodreads account and a cursor to click with, so make sure to head over to the website and cast your vote!
Do you think Cursed Child deserves to have made it to this point in the competition? Let us know in the comments!
