Eddie Redmayne Spent Tuesday in a Suitcase
In spite of the craziness that was the US presidential election, Tuesday wasn’t all stress and tension. Eddie Redmayne and the rest of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them crew distracted the Muggle world by hosting a promotional event in the form of a giant suitcase at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto, Canada. Inside, props from the Fantastic Beasts movie were on display.
During the event, Eddie and fellow co-stars Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Katherine Waterston, and Ezra Miller had some great interviews:
Eddie described why he loves the film:
One of the things I loved about this script is it was a standalone thing; it was a film that was for people who loved the ‘Potter’ films, but also people who have never seen a ‘Potter’ film before.
Hundreds of people waited in the rain on Tuesday, hoping to get a chance to see the stars in person. The suitcase encounter was arranged to advertise the new movie, which shows the Harry Potter universe nearly a century before Voldemort wreaked havoc on Hogwarts and the rest of the wizarding world.
