Quidditch Weekend in Canada to be Live Streamed

For the very first time, Quidditch will be live streamed in Canada. Quidditch Canada is partnering up with SportsCanada.TV to broadcast both of the upcoming tournaments this weekend, November 12 and 13, during the Quidditch Weekend – the Eastern Regional Championship and the Western Regional Championship.

The Eastern Regional Championship will be held in Mississauga, Ontario, at Iceland Fields. Fourteen teams will be competing from across eastern Canada to claim the title of Eastern Champions – one of them being the UOttawa Gee-Gees, the defending National Championships.

The Western Regional Championship will be held at Sullivan Heights Park in Surrey, British Columbia. This is a slightly smaller tournament, with only six teams competing. Last year’s Western Regional Champions – the Alberta Clippers – no longer exist, meaning the title is open to a new team.
