Video: Alfred Enoch Can’t Wait to See “Fantastic Beasts”!
From casting spells at Hogwarts to covering up murders, Alfred Enoch, as a young, talented actor, has seen and experienced it all. While his portrayal of Wes Gibbins in the wildly popular television series, How to Get Away with Murder, earned him immense recognition, Alfred is also commonly known for his portrayal of Dean Thomas in the Harry Potter film franchise.
And despite all the current hype of the HtGAwM season finale, he simply cannot contain his excitement to see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them!
It turns out that Alfred’s love for the wizarding world goes back to before he was even cast as Dean Thomas in the Potter movies. In his interview with the Huffington Post, Alfred fondly recalls how the Potter books shaped his childhood and made him feel fortunate “to have been part of those movies and part of that world.” Luckily for Alfred and all Potter fans, that world is not going anywhere anytime soon with J.K. Rowling’s confirmation of four more Fantastic Beasts films!
Reflecting on the different media that has encapsulated the growth of J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world, Alfred finds it exciting that the stories of Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will be presented as new stories or the “second coming of the world of Harry Potter.”
As JKR states, “The stories we love best do live in us forever,” which has certainly been proven by Fantastic Beasts’ recent domination of the weekend box office!
Do you think Alfred should play Dean Thomas’s grandfather in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them? How excited are you to see the film?
