Alumni Roundup: It’s a Celebration Special!
This weekend sees the annual Celebration of Harry Potter take place at Universal Orlando Resort, and it wouldn’t be a celebration without some very special guests. This week in our Alumni Roundup, we’re highlighting some of the best bits from the weekend – as well as collecting all those big announcements together.
First up, the graphic design team MinaLima was busy packing up some goodies to take across the ocean.
While in Orlando, they also dished out some special pins and set up a special traveling version of the House of MinaLima – and made a big announcement regarding the future of the House of MinaLima.
Tom Felton was on hand to dish out some all-important hugs.
Warwick Davis and Tom were hanging out together. Plus, we got a look at what goes on behind the scenes with Warwick.

As always, there was a lot going on at the Celebration, with appearances from cast members and crew, booths from Audible to MinaLima, and plenty of magical moments.

Among the announcements made over the course of the weekend was the big reveal from the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.
The celebrations of the weekend were tinged with sadness. Actor Sir John Hurt, known best to Potter fans for portraying Mr. Ollivander in the Potter films, passed away, and many stars took to social media to share their feelings about this loss.
What an absolute shot to the heart. You’ll be missed, John. https://t.co/uGfwhaZZ9z

John Hurt. What an acting legend. Rest in peace dear Sir. Wand shopping won’t be the same without you ⚡️ pic.twitter.com/jRrRCX8PZv
