Alumni Roundup: Behind the Scenes, Press Tours, and Charities, Oh My!
This time of year is certainly proving to be busy for our Potter alumni. Whether it’s starring in TV shows and theater productions, promoting charities, or doing press tours for new movies, these actors never seem to slow down!
Starting it off, James and Oliver Phelps are showing their big hearts by promoting the Well Child charity, which is an organization that gives seriously ill children the best possible chance to thrive at home with their families. The duo has designed shirts that are for sale, with proceeds going to benefit the charity.

Bonnie Wright is following in her on-screen siblings’ footsteps and is promoting a shirt design of her own, of which proceeds benefit FilmAid International. This charity uses the power of film and media to transcend language and literacy, bringing life-saving information, psychological relief, and much-needed hope to refugees and other communities in need around the globe.
Have u got your tee yet? Refugees just like you & me have their own dreams. Support them https://t.co/VJewH7jrLC pic.twitter.com/ewmSaLrlJP

Moving right along to Mr. Tom Felton, who has been spending his days on the set of the CW’s The Flash as Julian Albert. Tom has treated us to many set pictures on his Instagram, and he shared this gem with us recently, which features his costars, Grant Gustin (who plays Barry Allen/the Flash) and Jesse L. Martin (who plays Detective Joe West).
But wait! There’s more! Felton also shared this sweet throwback photo of himself on the set of Half-Blood Prince.
Fans were also treated to a rare David Thewlis (Remus Lupin) sighting when Mary Winstead posted this cute pic of herself, Thewlis, and Ewan McGregor. Thewlis will be starring in the third season of the FX series Fargo alongside Winstead and McGregor.
Jessie Cave (Lavender Brown) is in our Roundup again this round! The actress took to Instagram to announce that she will be having a Q&A of sorts at the Soho Theater, where she will be answering questions and talking about making the most out of career rejection.
Katie Leung, who plays Cho Chang, has been keeping busy in the theater! She posted a behind-the-scenes photo of her looking positively spooky in her new play, Snow in Midsummer. Tickets are available now through March 25!
To wrap up this week’s Alumni Roundup, Emma² (Emma Watson and Emma Thompson) are traveling the world as part of their Beauty and the Beast press tour. Audra McDonald shared this sweet snap of the cast behind the scenes, and it looks like they’re having a blast!

It’s clear from this Roundup that everyone is loving staying busy, and we don’t know about you, but we sure feel tired just thinking about all the work they do! If anyone needs us, we’ll be curled up in a blanket burrito watching Goblet of Fire for the five-millionth time and wondering how the insanely talented alumni seem to do it all.
What do you think of all their projects? Let us know in the comments below!
