J.K. Rowling, Eddie Redmayne, and Other “Fantastic Beasts” Cast and Creators Confirmed BAFTA Attendees
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has confirmed its list of nominees, presenters, and attendees. Since Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has scored a whopping five BAFTA nominations, it is no surprise that many of its cast and creators will be in attendance at the event. Potter and Fantastic Beasts fans can expect to catch a glimpse of J.K. Rowling (Fantastic Beasts screenwriter), David Yates (director), David Heyman (producer), Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander), and Carmen Ejogo (President Seraphina Picquery).
Fantastic Beasts nominations include Outstanding British Film (David Yates, David Heyman, Steve Kloves, J.K. Rowling, Lionel Wigram), Production Design (Stuart Craig, Anna Pinnock), Costume Design (Colleen Atwood), Sound (Niv Adiri, Glenn Freemantle, Simon Hayes, Andy Nelson, Ian Tapp), and Special Visual Effects (Tim Burke, Pablo Grillo, Christian Manz, David Watkins).
Acclaimed actor and (British) Harry Potter audiobook narrator Stephen Fry will be the hosting the BAFTAs this Sunday. The BAFTAs will be broadcasted on BBC One and BBC One HD on Sunday, February 12 at 9:00 p.m. GMT. The event will also be streamed online on BBC iPlayer, and the red carpet prior to the event will be live streamed on the BAFTA website, with coverage on all of its social media outlets.
