Bonnie Wright’s “Phone Calls” to Debut at Tribeca Film Festival

Bonnie Wright has an exciting new directorial project coming up! Phone Calls, an anthology series that Bonnie co-directed and co-produced with fellow actor Martin Cohn, will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City next month.

‘Phone Calls’ is an anthology series of conversations exploring the way people speak to each other when not face to face. Free of physical proximity, a space is born in which personal truths and, often times, ugliness is unleashed by those closest to you as well as those most foreign.

Bonnie first made her directorial debut in 2012 with the short film Separate We Come, Separate We Go, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. She has since directed several more shorts, which can all be viewed on her film company’s website here.

She has previously spoken about her experience getting into directing after finishing Potter and how she is viewed as a “female director” in the film industry.

Phone Calls will be screened on April 20 at the Regal Cinemas Battery Park 11. Single tickets go on sale March 28 here.
