Review: Tervis Tumblers Are Top-Tier
Are you ever frustrated that your water gets too warm or your coffee gets too cold? Have you ever wanted to make your daily beverages more magical in appearance?
Your troubles are over, my friends.
I love novelty and fandom-themed cups. So you can imagine my excitement when I learned that Tervis Insulated Drinkware had come out with not only Harry Potter-themed cups but also Beauty and the Beast– and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them-themed cups!
My package was sitting on my doorstep when I got home from work in the evening, and I immediately tore into it and was in awe of the beautiful designs. Included was a 24 oz. Marauder’s Map water bottle, a 24. oz Hogwarts crest travel tumbler, and two 16 oz. Beauty and the Beast tumblers with a travel lid you can easily snap on for when you’re on the go.
The first thing I noticed about these products is that they’re very sturdy. The box was quite heavy when I received it, and it looks like it would take a lot of strength to do any damage to these babies.
Eager to try them out, the following morning I threw some ice water into the Marauder’s Map water bottle and ordered a butterbeer latte from my favorite local coffee shop to put into the Hogwarts crest travel tumbler. My latte was quite hot when it was put in the travel tumbler – too hot to drink right away. However, you’d never notice that just by holding the tumbler. The cup was barely warm. How amazing! There was no need for burned hands, nor was there any use for a cup sleeve (or zarf, if you prefer). Almost two hours later, the coffee was not room temperature, nor was it cold. In fact, it was still comfortably warm. Since I’m a slow coffee drinker, this was a relief.
The lid of the travel tumblers is not spill proof (so don’t go tipping your cups upside down), but it has a cover for the hole on top to keep from hot coffee messes all over your car when driving down a bumpy road. If you live in a town like mine with a plethora of potholes, you’ll be grateful for this feature!
The water bottle was equally as impressive. I know one thing I don’t like about ice water is how quickly it melts and becomes room temperature. This is not the case when you use the Tervis water bottles! Sure, the ice does melt, but the water stays a cool temperature, and the outside of the cup does not collect condensation or become too cold to handle. Astonishingly enough, the water was still cool after sitting in my car for 1 1/2 hours!
Another amazing feature of the water bottle is that it is indeed spill proof (if you have the lid on, of course). I tipped the bottle upside down for a prolonged period of time, and not a single drop leaked out. The lid stays shut when it is closed and doesn’t pop open by itself. If you’re a bit of a klutz like me, this is very handy.
The same praise goes for the 16 oz. tumblers, including the interchangeable travel lid. I might actually prefer this size because its sleek style fits my hands perfectly. My Saturday-morning coffee never once got to room temperature or below.
Not only are these cups durable and high-quality, but the designs are absolutely stunning as well!
But don’t just take my word for it. Head over to Tervis’s website and check out all the designs! You can find the Beauty designs here and the wizarding world designs here!
